With more than 25,000 participants and a presence in over 100 countries through 5 Regional Hubs and more than 70 Country Networks and expansion territories, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

The Bulgarian Network of the United Nations Global Compact (BNUNGC) was officially announced in 2011 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Bringing together companies, NGOs and academia, BNUNGC is the most active organization in the country in the field of sustainable development, with professional expertise built over more than a decade within the framework of the largest global forum for sustainability, which defined the concept of ESG - the UN Global Compact . The members of BNUNGC are leaders of sustainable development, who affirm the socially responsible behavior of Bulgarian business and assist in balancing the three pillars of sustainability – economic growth, social development and environmental protection.
